Job Offering:
This in-house product uses Weblogic as the foundation for the customer interface. This position is responsible for implementing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and administering our Weblogic enterprise environment. The job requires high level expertise on Weblogic as an application and the companion interfaces as well including Apache, JBOSS, Tomcat and Java development. The position requires availability 24/7 for issue resolution and works closely between Tech Support and Development to create solutions for new features or code defects in the production environment. This position maintains all of our environments from Development, QA, Preproduction and Production to ensure development creates a code base that has consistent results from inception to implementation. The position must also look forward to where the product is going and determine the proper course of action to keep the application on the appropriate upgrade path for application stability.
Position Description/ Requirements:
•Maintain repository for coordinating code migration to production from QA environments.
•Support for trouble tickets.
•Production system trouble shooting skills.
•Break fix support and programming of in house utilities in production and ad hoc reporting.
•Estimation and Schedule responsibility for projects.
•Writing Technical Design Documentation, Run Books and Production Standards documentation.
•Strong verbal and written communication.
•Facilitate and participate in design reviews and code walkthroughs.
•Organize and participate in testing activities to ensure delivery of quality systems.
•Tier I 24/7 support.
•Application Development experience with J2EE applications.
•Administrative experience with complex BEA Weblogic clusters, JBoss, Apache, and Tomcat on Linux Operating Systems.
Technology Requirements:
•Must have worked as a BEA Weblogic Administrator for 5+ years.
•Must have worked extensively with complex Weblogic implementations utilizing clusters.
•Must have experience working with Apache and Tomcat.
•Must have administered Weblogic clusters on Linux.
•Must have a sound base working with J2EE applications.
•Must have strong, demonstrated teamwork skills.
•Must have proven skills in the development of quality system architecture and design.
•Must have exceptional communication skills, both oral and written.
•Must have good, planning and organization skills.
•Ability to create technical documentation and present documentation for review.
Technologies Preferred:
•Experience in developing and maintaining traditional telecommunications business support and operational support systems.
•Experience with SIP, VOIP, or Telecom applications
